Why Industry Is Moving Freight to Electric

Diesel freight is costly, volatile and hard to decarbonise, and electric trucks fix all three. What holds most companies back is capital, battery risk and know-how. That is exactly what we take off your hands.

Volatile Diesel Costs
Fuel is the biggest running cost of a diesel truck, and every price change lands on your freight bill.
Emissions Under Scrutiny
Logistics emissions now sit in customer, lender and investor reporting, and diesel freight is the largest single source.
Government Support
The PM E-DRIVE scheme offers an incentive of up to ₹9.6 lakh per electric truck.
Cleaner, Quieter Freight
Electric trucks emit no tailpipe CO₂ and run quieter at your plant and on the road.
PM E-DRIVE incentive as per the Ministry of Heavy Industries guidelines (July 2025).
Per ton vs per ton

Same Per-Ton Model, Lower Rate

You already pay per ton for diesel freight. Move the same lanes to Lythoren electric trucks and pay less from the very first trip, with nothing new to manage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy any trucks or chargers?

No. Lythoren Mobility funds 100% of the trucks, trailers, batteries and chargers from its own capital. Nothing sits on your balance sheet, now or later.

What does the per-ton rate cover?

Everything it takes to move your material: electric trucks and trailers, trained drivers, charging and energy, AMC and repairs, tyres and spares, battery replacement, insurance, permits and RTO, live tracking and monthly emissions reports.

How is the per-ton rate set?

We study your lanes free of cost (distance, gradients, tonnage, loading times and shifts) and quote one all-inclusive rate, fixed for each contract year. A monthly minimum tonnage secures your dedicated fleet. The rate is revised once a year: costs follow inflation, and only the energy part follows the state power tariff.

How much can we save against diesel freight?

Around 10% on the per-ton rate from the first trip. Our rate is fixed for each contract year, while a diesel rate rises with every fuel price change, so the saving grows over time. Illustratively, if diesel freight rises 4% a year, every ₹100 of diesel freight costs about ₹87 with us over eight years: a 13% saving. Savings are quoted lane by lane.

Who drives and maintains the trucks?

We do. Our trained EV drivers, dispatch team and maintenance crew run your lanes every day, with preventive maintenance and on-call repairs.

What happens when a battery wears out?

Battery health is monitored throughout the contract and packs are replaced at our cost. It is the largest single risk in an electric truck, and it stays with us.

Where do the trucks charge?

At depot DC chargers at your plant, your mine or a nearby yard, designed for your fleet and scheduled into loading gaps and shift changes. We secure the grid connection and carry the energy cost inside your rate.

What do I need to provide?

Material ready at the loading point, access to your site and weighbridge, and depot space where charging is on your premises.

How do I track deliveries and billing?

On the Lythoren Fleet Platform: live GPS, weighbridge-linked tonnage, e-way bills, proof of delivery and WhatsApp ETAs. Your monthly invoice is built from weighbridge tickets, with API and exports for your ERP.

What loads can you move?

Cement, clinker, steel, coal, minerals and other industrial goods, on 55 t GVW heavy-duty electric tractor-trailers and tippers.
